About SEED Foundation: SEED Foundation is a locally registered NGO in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. SEED’s mission is to protect, empower, and support the recovery of survivors of violence and others at risk. SEED carries a broad program portfolio focused on child protection and gender based violence (GBV), and mental health and psychosocial well-being.

Role of the Senior IT Officer:

SEED is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior IT Officer to oversee and enhance the organization’s IT infrastructure and operations. The successful candidate will have advanced technical expertise, demonstrated leadership in managing IT teams and units, and strong skills in policy development and ERP system implementation and maintenance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that SEED’s IT systems are robust, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management – 15%

  • Design, implement, and maintain a reliable and secure IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and communication systems.

  • Manage system upgrades, configurations, and integrations to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.

Team and Unit Management – 30%

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, ensuring their professional development and high performance.
  • Develop and oversee the IT unit’s annual work plans, budgets, and priorities in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture within the IT unit.

Policy Development – 20%

  • Develop, implement, and update IT policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and data security standards.

  • Ensure all staff understand and adhere to IT policies through training and awareness sessions.

ERP System Management – 30%

  • Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of SEED’s ERP system.

  • Ensure the ERP system is fully integrated and aligned with organizational workflows and reporting needs.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and troubleshooting for ERP users.

Other Responsibilities – 5%

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement cybersecurity measures to protect SEED’s systems and data.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor and evaluate IT performance metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a senior IT management role.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, network administration, and system security.
  • Proven experience in ERP system implementation and management.
