Strengthening Clinical Psychology Education

Preparing students to meet the needs of the most vulnerable

There is a critical lack of qualified mental health professionals in the Kurdistan Region to respond to the needs of survivors of conflict, displacement, torture, sexual violence, and other traumatic experiences. To better equip future psychologists to deliver quality services, SEED and Koya University are working to strengthen the undergraduate Clinical Psychology Program, with support from the U.S. Government.

  • Strengthening the curriculum

  • Integrating a trauma specialty
  • Building practical and clinical skills
  • Providing clinical experience with supervision
